Oven baked pork chops that assemble in minutes with simple ingredients you already have in the pantry.
Pork chops are so tasty, and quick and easy to cook. Because of this versatility, this makes chops an excellent choice for busy weeknight meals.
How Long to Bake Pork Chops
Pork chops are a lean meat, because of this, it can make them easy to overcook in the oven. Chops will dry out if you leave them in the oven for too long. Because dried out pork does not make for an appetizing meal, you will want to cook it appropriately. But don’t worry, here’s an easy way to know exactly how long you should cook your chops.
In a 400 degree Fahrenheit oven, boneless pork chops need to cook for 7 minutes per ½ inch of thickness. If you are using bone-in pork chops, add an extra minute for each ½ inch.
New to making roasted pork chops? Then you will want to use an instant read meat thermometer, it is the best way to tell if the chops are fully cooked. Pork should be cooked to an internal temperature of 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Our meat thermometer makes sure the meat doesn’t overcook. Once the chops reach 140 degrees Fahrenheit, remove from the oven and allow to rest for 3 minutes before serving.
