I am a huge fan of lime crema (psst it helped me win a chili cook-off once) then you will love this dressing.
Ingredients to Make Creamy Cilantro Lime avocado Dressing
The list is small but the flavor will tell you something else. You will need: sour cream, lime, avocado, garlic, salt and cilantro.
Is a Food Processor Necessary?
The food processor is the easiest tool in my kitchen to make this dressing, but a good blender will work just fine. Another option I like to use is the Tupperware SuperSonic Chopper, it handles this dressing with ease. This recipe makes about one cup, so you’ll need something with at least a 1.5 cup capacity to allow for movement.
How to Serve the Dresssing
This dressing is amazing on my favorite Taco Tuesday Turkey Salad Bowl, but lends itself well to other options. I keep this on hand to dip veggies in throughout the day, so good. Try omitting the water for thicker consistency so you can add this to a charcuterie spread.
Try this dressing on your sandwiches, wraps, tacos, salads, nachos, bowl meals, fresh vegetables, and more!
Ingredients
- 1 avocado
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- 1/4 bunch fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup water add less if you like a thicker dressing or want to use this a dip
Instructions
- Make the salad dressing first so the flavors have time to blend. Peel the avocado and remove the pit. Add the avocado to a food processor or blender along with the sour cream, garlic (minced), salt, lime juice, cilantro, and water. Purée until smooth. Refrigerate the dressing until ready to use.
- Store in an airtight container for 1-2 weeks.
