Ingredients
2cupsfresh basil leaves (stems removed)
2tablespoonspine nuts
2largecloves garlic
1/2cupextra-virgin olive oil
1/2cupfresh Parmesan or Romano cheesegrated or shredded if you like bigger pieces
Instructions
Combine basil leaves, pine nuts or walnuts and garlic in a food processor and process until very finely minced.
With the food processor running slowly dribble in the oil and process until the mixture is smooth.
Add the parmesan cheese and process very briefly, just long enough to combine.
Store in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to a week.
